Inimo Terms of Use
Version 1.0. Last updated: 19.10.2026
In short
- Inimo is a listings platform for animals. We do not sell animals, rehome animals, provide services or transport animals.
- Whoever publishes a listing or offers a service is responsible for what they publish and what they promise.
- Inimo is free for now. We do not take payments and we do not collect donations.
- You can report any content. We explain our decisions and you can appeal them.
- This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what applies.
1. Who we are
Inimo (getinimo.com) is operated by AET JEWELRY VENTURES S.R.L., registered office Șos. Alexandriei nr. 98-100A, parter, bl. 1, sc. 1, ap. 2, Bragadiru, jud. Ilfov, România, Romania, Tax ID RO48390650, Trade Register No. J23/4126/2023, email hello@getinimo.com, phone 0757 672 867 ("Inimo", "we").
Our single point of contact for users and for authorities is hello@getinimo.com. You can write to us in Romanian or English.
2. What Inimo is and what it is not
- Inimo hosts content published by users: listings, profiles, organisation pages, services, transport runs and messages. Under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the Digital Services Act (DSA), we are a hosting service provider and an online platform.
- We are not a party to arrangements between users: adoptions, sales, services, bookings or transport. These arrangements are made directly between the people involved.
- We do not check every listing in advance and we have no general obligation to monitor content. When we become aware of content that is illegal or breaches these terms, we act quickly (see sections 10 and 11).
- The adoption contract in the app is a free tool. The contract is made between the person rehoming the animal and the adopter. Inimo is not a party to it. The template is drafted under Romanian law. In other countries, check whether it fits local law.
- The label "Verified organisation" means only what is written next to it, for example that the organisation appears in the public register and that the person managing the account represents it. It is not a guarantee of quality, of the animals' health or of the organisation's reliability.
3. Your account
- You can create an account from the age of 16. To publish listings, offer services, sign an adoption contract or make bookings, you must be at least 18.
- Your account details must be true and up to date. One person has one personal account.
- You are responsible for what is done from your account. Do not share access. If you suspect someone has used your account, tell us immediately.
- You can delete your account at any time, in your settings or by writing to hello@getinimo.com.
4. Listings
You can publish three kinds of listings on Inimo:
- Adoption. Adoption listings are free and have no price. Organisations may state an adoption contribution (for example to cover neutering and vaccines), but only if the amount is shown clearly in the listing. You may not ask for money "on the side" after the first message.
- Sale. Available only in the countries on this list: România / Romania. We add countries one by one, after checking each country's rules. Where sales are not available, you may not publish sales disguised as adoptions.
- Lost or found animal. Give the approximate area, not the exact address. Do not publish other people's personal data.
When you publish a listing, you confirm that:
- you have the right to rehome or sell the animal;
- the information is true: species, age, sex, health, vaccines, deworming, neutering, microchip;
- you have disclosed everything you know about the animal's illnesses, behaviour problems or special needs;
- the photos show that animal and you have the right to use them;
- you comply with the rules in your country on identification, registration, minimum age and documents. For example, in Romania dogs must be microchipped and registered in the RECS database before being sold or given away, including free adoption.
By default, listings are shown newest first, filtered by the criteria you choose (species, city, distance and others). In the adoption list, animals waiting the longest are shown first by default. Paid promoted listings appear first and are marked “Promoted”. Inimo is not paid to rank a listing higher. If we introduce promoted listings, they will be clearly labelled "Promoted".
5. Services offered by users
- On Inimo, users and organisations can advertise services: dog walking, pet sitting, training, pet hotels, grooming, local and international transport, foster homes. They can also publish scheduled international transport runs.
- Inimo does not provide these services. The service is provided by whoever advertised it. That person is responsible for the quality of the service, for the animal's safety and welfare, for the price charged, for taxes and for insurance.
- Anyone offering a service must hold all the authorisations required in their country and in the countries the service passes through. For example, transporting animals as an economic activity requires a transporter authorisation (Regulation (EC) No 1/2005), and animals must travel with the required documents (microchip, passport, rabies vaccination, health certificate, as applicable).
- Each provider states whether they act as a trader (company, sole trader, association providing paid services) or as a private individual. We show this next to the service. EU consumer rights (for example pre-contractual information or legal guarantees) apply only to traders, not to arrangements between private individuals.
- A booking made through Inimo is a request sent to the provider. The price, cancellation terms and other conditions are those shown by the provider.
6. Appointments, bookings and messages
- You can make appointments (for example a visit to a shelter) and book services. We send you reminders by email or in the app. An appointment is an arrangement between you and the organisation or provider.
- Messages are for conversations about listings, services and adoptions. Do not send spam, unsolicited advertising or bulk messages.
- We do not read your messages. The exceptions are when someone reports them to us, cases of abuse, fraud or security, and where the law requires us to. We use simple automated anti-spam filters, for example limits on the number of messages sent.
- Never send money in advance for an animal you have not seen or for "transport" you have not checked. This is the most common animal scam.
7. What is not allowed
On Inimo you may not:
- hide an illness, disability or behaviour problem you know about, or give false information about health, vaccines, age, breed or pedigree;
- sell animals where the law prohibits it, without the required authorisations or below the legal minimum age, or sell under the guise of an "adoption";
- offer protected species, wild animals taken from nature, banned invasive species or stolen animals, or animals without the documents required by law;
- offer animals for fighting, for illegal intensive breeding or for any form of cruelty, or publish content that shows or encourages cruelty to animals;
- publish false content: invented listings, photos of other animals, a fake identity, bait offers, requests for deposits for animals that do not exist;
- harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other people;
- publish other people's personal data without their consent, including "lists" of people accused of mistreating animals. If you have evidence of cruelty, tell the police or the veterinary authority and report it to us;
- use other people's photos or texts without permission;
- create multiple accounts to get around a suspension, send spam, or advertise anything other than animals and services for them.
The details are in the Community Rules, which form part of these terms.
8. Your content
- The content you publish remains yours. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to host it, display it, adapt it technically (for example resize photos) and translate it automatically, for as long as needed to run Inimo.
- We may share a public adoption listing on Inimo's own channels (for example social media) to help the animal find a home faster. We do not publish your contact details there. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- The licence ends when you delete the content. The exceptions are short-term backups and content we must keep for a report, an appeal or a legal obligation.
9. Organisation accounts
Associations, breeders, kennels, veterinary clinics and pet shops can have a public organisation page. Whoever creates such a page confirms that:
- they are entitled to represent the organisation and the organisation's details are true (name, registration number, address, authorisations);
- the organisation holds the authorisations required for its activity. For example: veterinary registration or authorisation for shelters, kennels, breeders and pet shops, and the right to practise for veterinary clinics;
- team members have agreed to have their name and role shown. Any team member can ask us directly to remove their name;
- they comply with the law when asking for volunteers, publishing needs lists or describing cases for which they seek help.
We also note:
- Online donations are not active on Inimo. Case pages describe the organisation's needs. If you donate directly to the organisation, outside Inimo (for example by bank transfer), the donation is between you and the organisation. The organisation is responsible for how the money is used and for complying with the fundraising law of its country.
- Needs lists may link to external shops. You buy directly from that shop, not from Inimo. These are not affiliate links: Inimo earns nothing from these purchases.
- Videos from YouTube or other platforms load only when you click on them.
- For organisation accounts acting as traders: we tell you about important changes to these terms at least 15 days in advance. When we restrict or suspend your account, we tell you why. When we close your account for good, we give you at least 30 days' notice. The exceptions are serious breaches, legal obligations and danger to animals or people. You have access to the data you gave us and to the data generated by your page (for example the number of views and followers).
10. Reporting and removal
- Every listing, profile, page, service and message has a "Report" button. You can also write to hello@getinimo.com.
- A good report includes: the exact link, why you believe the content is illegal or breaks the rules, your name and email (not required when reporting child sexual abuse) and a statement that you are reporting in good faith.
- We confirm receipt and tell you what we decided. We decide carefully and without undue delay.
- We may: remove or hide the content, reduce its visibility, suspend the account temporarily or close it.
- When we take action, we send the person concerned a statement of reasons: what we did, why (which law or rule was broken), the facts we relied on, whether the decision was taken or the content was detected by automated means, and how to appeal.
- If we become aware of an offence that threatens the life or safety of a person, we inform the authorities.
- People who frequently submit manifestly unfounded reports may have their ability to report suspended for a while, after a warning.
- We do not reveal the reporter's identity to the person reported, unless the law requires us to.
11. Appeals
- You can appeal any moderation decision, whether about your content or about a report you made, within 6 months of the decision, at getinimo.com/ro/cont/suport or at hello@getinimo.com.
- Your appeal is reviewed by a person, not just a program. We give you a reasoned answer, usually within 14 days. If you are right, we reverse the decision.
- You can always go to court or complain to the digital services authority in your country. In Romania this is ANCOM (www.ancom.ro).
12. Suspension and closure
- As a rule, we give you a warning first.
- We suspend or close an account immediately in serious cases: cruelty to animals, fraud, protected species, threats, repeated illegal content.
- Accounts that frequently publish manifestly illegal content are suspended for a reasonable period, after a warning.
- You can close your account yourself at any time.
13. Prices, payments, donations, reviews
- All Inimo features are free for now. Payments, online donations and reviews are not active.
- Before we switch on any paid feature, we publish the prices and terms. You pay nothing unless you expressly accept.
- The "Payment history" section stays empty until payments start.
14. Liability
- We are not liable for users' listings, services, animals, messages or arrangements, except where we knew that content was illegal and did not act.
- We do our best to keep Inimo working well and securely, but we cannot guarantee that it will always work without interruptions or errors.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for harm to life or health, or in other cases where the law does not allow limitation. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
- You are liable for damage you cause to others or to us by breaking the law or these terms.
15. Your personal data
How we use your data is explained in the Privacy Policy: getinimo.com/ro/confidentialitate.
16. Changes
- We tell you by email or in the app at least 15 days before any important change. The exceptions are changes required by law and urgent changes made for safety reasons.
- If you disagree, you can close your account before the change takes effect.
17. Governing law and courts
- These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer living in another EU Member State, this choice does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you can always rely on them.
- If you are a consumer, you can sue us either in Romania or in the courts of the country where you live. We can sue you only in the courts of the country where you live.
- Before going to court, write to us at hello@getinimo.com and we will try to resolve the issue. Consumers in Romania can also complain to ANPC (www.anpc.ro); consumers elsewhere can contact their national consumer protection authority.
- For organisation accounts acting as traders: Romanian law applies and the courts of our registered office have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory law.
- These terms are available in română, engleză, germană, spaniolă, suedeză, japoneză / Romanian, English, German, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese. The version in the language in which you accepted them is the one that applies to you.
