Inimo Community Rules
Last updated: 19.10.2026
Inimo exists so that animals reach good people, and so that people can trust each other. These rules form part of the Inimo Terms of Use.
1. Tell the truth about the animal
- Give the correct age, sex, breed (or "mixed"), health, vaccines, deworming, neutering and microchip.
- Tell everything you know about illnesses, disabilities, fears or behaviour problems. An animal with special needs can only find the right home if people know what to expect.
- Use real, recent photos of that animal.
2. Adoption means adoption
- Adoption listings have no price. Organisations may ask for an adoption contribution only if the amount is shown clearly in the listing.
- Do not ask for money after the first message, and do not turn an adoption into a sale.
- In Romania, dogs must be microchipped and registered in RECS before they change owner, even in a free adoption.
3. Sales only where allowed and legal
- Sale listings are available only in the countries announced by Inimo: România / Romania.
- You hold the authorisations required in your country and respect the minimum age and documents required for the animal.
- Not allowed: protected species, wild animals taken from nature, banned invasive species, stolen animals, animals for fighting.
4. Services: you are responsible for what you offer
- Inimo does not provide services. Whoever walks, cares for, trains, boards, grooms or transports animals is responsible for them.
- State whether you are a trader or a private individual. Hold the required authorisations, for example for transporting animals.
- Show the price and cancellation terms before booking.
5. Respect in messages
- No insults, threats, harassment, discrimination or unwanted sexual messages.
- No spam, unsolicited advertising or copy-paste bulk messages.
- "No" is an answer. The person rehoming an animal may choose who to give it to.
6. Do not publish people
- Do not publish another person's name, photo, address, phone number or profile without their consent.
- Do not create or share "blacklists" of people. If you have evidence of cruelty or fraud, tell the police or the veterinary authority and report the account to us with the "Report" button.
- Members of an organisation's team appear only with their consent.
7. No cruelty and no needlessly shocking content
- Do not publish images that show or encourage cruelty to animals.
- Organisations may show the condition of a rescued animal if they do so with care and with a warning at the top of the listing.
8. Watch out for scams
- Do not send money in advance for an animal you have not seen or for transport you have not checked.
- Meet in a safe place. Check the animal's documents and microchip number.
- Inimo will never ask for your password or sign-in codes.
9. Organisations
- Organisation details must be true and verifiable, and authorisations valid.
- Cases and needs lists must be true and up to date. Online donations are not active on Inimo. If you receive donations directly, you are responsible for how the money is used and for complying with the law.
- The label "Verified organisation" must not be used as a guarantee for animals or services.
10. What we do when someone breaks the rules
- Anyone can report a listing, profile, page, service or message with the "Report" button or at hello@getinimo.com.
- We may remove the content, reduce its visibility, or suspend or close the account. As a rule we give a warning first. In serious cases (cruelty, fraud, threats, protected species) we act immediately.
- We always tell you what we decided and why. You can appeal within 6 months, and your appeal is reviewed by a person.
- If someone's life or safety is in danger, we inform the authorities.
